GROUPE served as an engineer, land planner, and land surveyor for major residential portions of the Potomac Shores Community.  We have been working on the Potomac Shores development since 2010 for various contract owners and are currently with Argent Management.Potomac Shores is a planned community of over 1,900 acres with a mix of approximately 4,000 residential units and up to 3.7 million square feet of non-residential development to include retail, hotels, fitness centers, restaurants, and public spaces to be located with the Town Center.  The development has a Jack Nicklaus designed golf course completed and an associated clubhouse.  A community center is under construction and numerous athletic fields are under design.  The community will have a dedicated rail stop for the Virginia Rail Express, a regional commuter rail service connecting Northern Virginia suburbs to Union Station in Washington, DC, as well as two school sites – an elementary and middle school.  Numerous recreational activities will be available within the community including a marina, a planned trail system, tennis courts, and athletic fields.  The community is further enhanced with a large amount of undisturbed open space comprised primarily of forest covering over 700 acres.
